  1. OH MY, now that you’ve described the new luna bar as a close love affair with an Almond Joy I so cannot wait to get my hands on this one. The BEST overall healthy receipe I have tried has all come your fabulous Fervent Food blog. My most favorite is the Zuppa soup with the egg whites and baked brocolli a close second. I’m for sure going to hit the “like” button on Facebook cause your posts remind me daily to eat healthy and become a healthier me! Thank you Fervent Foodie. You ROCK!

  2. Wow – those look SO good! My husband and I have started to make better food for ourselves, and so far – making our own beef stew has been the best (I blogged it here – http://roknor.com/blog) I can add as many or whatever veggies I want, and there’s no additives or crazy ingredients like store-bought stew/soup.

  3. Um okay wait a minute. I’ve certainly been living in a hole! I HAD NO IDEA THAT LUNA FLAVOR EXISTED!!!!!!!!! WOW. WOW. WOW.

my favorite healthy food? baked tofu! You can cover it in buffalo sauce, dip it in kethcup – and you’ll never miss meat that way! 🙂

  4. Oooh I wanna try the blueberry ones so much! We still can’t get those here!

My favorite healthified recipe would probably be Hungry Girl’s “fried” foods (using FiberOne to coat stuff and then bake it)… YUM!

  5. Squee! I’m so glad you finally got to try this amazingness!!! Since I’ve already tried this wonder, if I somehow win this, just give it to the person above me (good luck Kat!).

  6. Vanilla cupcakes, from cook yourself thin. Yum! Come on, does it get any better than delish cupcakes that are good for you? (and hiding a veggie!)

  7. The best recipe that I have is my protein pancakes!!!

    Golden Protein Pancakes!!!

These pancakes are light, fluffy, and I would say they taste very good. I will show one serving. If Grant and I are both eating them, we make a double batch.

    Ingredients:

    3 Egg Whites

1/2 cup of Oatmeal(I just use whatever kind as long as they are plain… apple cinnamon wouldn’t taste very good.)

1/2 cup of fat free Cottage Cheese

Blend together and cook like a regular pancake!

I have found if you put the egg white in the blender first, then the oats, and then the cottage cheese, then the blender has the easiest time blending everything smoothly.

We use Sugar-Free Syrup and 1 tbsp of Natural Unmixed Peanut Butter (spread on top of my pancakes), this is very filling, and we normally can just barely finish a serving each.

  8. Healthified Banana Bread is amazing! You use applesauce and agave nectar instead of butter and sugar, but it still tastes rich and decadent!
